Riverbank Works

For many years Northern Divers have been able to provide services to carry out riverbank repair works to locations throughout the UK.

Initially these works were as a result of the Utilities contracts we hold to survey gas pipelines across water courses.  However, it has now widened its scope and we also have been able to offer this service  to a wider range of clients. Extensively the works involve reconstructing sections of riverbanks which have been subject to scour/erosion and bank loss, this can be to protect assets such as gas pipelines or adjacent structures such as bridges etc.

Remedial works fall into different categories from hard engineering solutions such as Rip Rap stone & sheet piling, to greener options in the form of soft engineering, for example Willow & natural revetments.

Northern Divers can offer a full service for any remedial works, which enables us to take the project from initial enquiry through to completion of works whilst encompassing the following aspects:-

  • Site visit & topographical survey.
  • Design stage & construction of design drawings.
  • Application process for all consent requirements such as EA bespoke flood defence consents.
  • Supply of experienced plant & labour .
  • CDM capability.
  • Execution of works.
