Thinking about becoming a diver? Here are our thoughts, to hopefully, put you on the right track. However, please bear in mind that diving is not as glamorous as you may think. It can be difficult at first, but with the correct attitude you can go a long way.

2. SCUBA diving is a great added bonus to be interested in prior to taking the course 3. You don’t have to be an Einstein. Infact, anyone with a common knowledge and plenty of practical experience is much preferred

We try to advise young starters to have a trade before they start the course (for example, electrician, plumber, welder etc). This can also assist later in your career, and can also act as a fall back when work is quiet

Leaving the forces? Make sure you have the right qualifications, and check on further qualifications that can be gained before leaving to assist in your future career
