Investments in the development of sustainable energy are investments in our economic future, the environment and in a reliable energy source. Wind energy is one of the most important forms of sustainable energy that can be used on a large scale.
The supply of wind energy is inexhaustible and freely available. The locations at sea, in particular, offer great advantages. By way of illustration, the global potential is double the expected electricity demand in 2020.
Northern Divers (Eng) Ltd have been working in association with Q7 on the Princess Amalia Wind Farm project, the second offshore wind farm in the Dutch sector of the North Sea, and the world’s first to be located at such a distance from the coast (outside of the 12-mile limit).
The construction of the project started in mid-2006, by installing cables to all windmill via the J-Tube arrangement, the burial of cables between windmills and the installation of main landfall cables.
